Inflatable Assault Course Hire in Huddersfield
Inflatable assault courses create a longer sequence of play than a standard bouncy castle, taking users through enclosed sections, obstacles and a finishing slide. They are particularly effective at school events, local galas, weddings, charity fundraisers and company functions where the venue provides plenty of open space. M&C Bouncy Castle Hire delivers and installs assault courses in Huddersfield, Wakefield and nearby areas.
Think of an Assault Course as a Route
A bouncy castle mainly needs space around one entrance, but an assault course affects a larger part of the event layout. Users enter at one end, travel through the inflatable and leave at the other. They then need a clear walking route back to the start if they want another turn.
When measuring the venue, allow for more than the inflatable itself. Your layout should include:
- The full length and width of the assault course
- Additional clearance for anchoring and blowers
- Safety mats at the entrance and exit
- A supervised waiting area
- A clear return route around the inflatable
- Access for delivery and installation
The return route should not pass close to blowers, electrical cables or anchoring points. A generous site makes it easier to manage users without congestion around the entrance.
Two Distinctive Assault Courses
Galleon Ship Assault Course
The Galleon Ship Assault Course measures approximately 34ft by 12ft and uses a large nautical design. Its ship-style appearance makes it a strong visual feature for school celebrations, summer events and children’s parties with a pirate or sea theme.
Because of its 34ft length, this inflatable is better suited to a substantial lawn, school field, cricket ground or other spacious venue than a typical domestic garden. Remember to include extra room beyond the quoted dimensions.
Terminator Torment Bouncy Assault Course
The Terminator Torment Bouncy Assault Course provides an alternative design for organisers who want extended inflatable play without a nautical theme. It can suit community events, school occasions, family functions and corporate entertainment where the site can accommodate a large unit.
Check the individual product listing for dimensions and user restrictions before booking. If you would like help comparing the two courses, contact us with the event location and available space.
Large Venues That Suit Inflatable Assault Courses
School Fields and Sports Grounds
Schools can use an assault course as one supervised part of an end-of-term celebration, fundraiser or activity day. Open fields usually provide the length needed for installation and a return route, although access to power and suitable anchoring ground must be confirmed.
Cricket Clubs and Community Sites
Cricket clubs and recreation grounds can offer more flexibility than home gardens. Organisers should still identify the exact setup position in advance, keeping the inflatable away from vehicle routes, car parks and unrelated sporting activity.
Wedding Venues
An assault course can provide entertainment for children and suitable adults during a wedding reception. It should be positioned where supervisors can monitor it without interfering with catering areas, photographs or venue access.
Corporate and Charity Events
At company functions and charity fundraisers, a large inflatable can form one part of a wider entertainment programme. User rules should be displayed or communicated clearly, with a responsible adult managing access throughout the event.
Creating an Efficient Assault Course Area
A well-organised site does not need a complicated system. Divide the surrounding space into four simple sections:
- Waiting area: Users remain clear of the entrance until instructed to begin.
- Inflatable route: Only the permitted number of suitable users enter at one time.
- Exit area: The finishing slide and safety mat remain unobstructed.
- Return lane: Users walk around the outside at a safe distance from blowers and anchors.
This arrangement is especially useful at busy public events because it reduces crowding and keeps movement predictable.
Allow Additional Time for Assault Course Setup
Assault courses are larger and more involved to install than many standard Bouncy Castles. Our delivery team will need sufficient access and time to position, unfold, inflate and secure the equipment before carrying out the safety inspection.
Please keep the agreed installation area clear before we arrive. Vehicles, event furniture, gazebos and other attractions should not occupy the site allocated to the inflatable.
Delivery, setup and collection are free throughout Huddersfield and Wakefield. Our trained team provides the electric blowers and safety mats, explains the operating instructions and returns after the event to remove the course.
Powering an Assault Course Away From Buildings
A nearby electrical supply is required for the blowers. At a school field, cricket ground or open event site, the distance between the socket and inflatable position must be considered before the booking date.
Where mains electricity is unavailable, add the Diesel Generator – 6kva or Petrol Blowers to the booking. These items carry an additional charge and must be reserved in advance so the correct power equipment arrives with the course.
Weather and Supervision Requirements
Assault courses require responsible supervision throughout use. The supervisor must manage entry, keep the exit clear and make sure users do not walk close to the blowers when returning to the start. Shoes, food, drinks and party poppers must remain off the equipment.
If a light shower occurs, follow the instructions provided by our team. Keeping the inflatable running can help water drain and allow it to dry more quickly, provided conditions remain suitable. Use must stop during heavy rain or unsafe winds, and the equipment may need to be deflated if instructed for safety reasons.
Further information about weather decisions, cancellations and customer responsibilities is available in our FAQs and Terms of Hire.
Other Equipment for Large Huddersfield Events
An assault course can be paired with Inflatable Slides where the venue provides separate installation areas. Fun Games / Extras can add smaller activities, while Adult Bouncy Castles offer reinforced options for grown-up events.
For younger guests who need their own dedicated play area, consider Toddler Bouncy Castles or Ball Pool Bouncy Castles. Each attraction needs an individual supervisor and clear space around it.
