Booking and Delivery
Where does M&C Bouncy Castle Hire operate?
We provide bouncy castle hire in Huddersfield and surrounding locations, including Wakefield, Brighouse, Holmfirth, Kirkburton and Highburton. We can also serve parts of Halifax.
Delivery and setup are free throughout Huddersfield. Charges may apply in other locations, depending on the event address. Enter the correct postcode when booking or contact us for confirmation.
How do I book a bouncy castle?

Please state the time your event begins. Delivery times are approximate, and this information helps us plan the route so the equipment can be installed before your guests arrive.

What equipment is included?
A standard bouncy castle hire normally includes:
- An electric blower
- Safety mats for the entrance
- Suitable anchoring equipment for the approved surface
- Installation and safety checks
- Collection after the agreed hire period
Stakes are commonly used for suitable outdoor grass installations. Sandbags or another approved method may be used for certain indoor setups. The installation method depends on the equipment, venue and surface.
Generators, petrol blowers and attendants are not included unless they have been specifically added to the booking.
How much space does a bouncy castle need?
Every product page lists the inflatable dimensions and the larger required operating area. You must measure the clear, usable space rather than the overall size of the garden or room.
The additional area is needed for:
- The entrance and safety mats
- The blower and inflation tube
- Anchoring equipment
- Safe access around the inflatable
Do not include flower beds, garden furniture, sheds, trees, low branches, paths or space reserved for another attraction. Please also check that gates, passages and other access points are suitable for delivery.
How do delivery and collection work?
Our team will deliver the equipment, position it in the agreed area, install and secure it, and complete the relevant setup checks. We will then explain the operating requirements to the responsible adult.
The same driver will ordinarily return at the end of the hire to deflate and collect the equipment. Customers must not move, deflate or pack a bouncy castle themselves unless our team has provided specific instructions.
Indoor Bouncy Castle Hire
Can you install a bouncy castle indoors?
Yes. Many of our bouncy castles can be installed in halls and other suitable indoor venues. The room must provide enough clear floor space, sufficient ceiling clearance, appropriate access and a usable electric socket.
Our indoor bouncy castles include designs with lower roofs that may fit venues where taller inflatables cannot be installed. You can also review our local venues guide for possible party locations.
Previous use at a venue does not guarantee that every bouncy castle will fit. Products have different dimensions, and room layouts or fittings may have changed.
Who is responsible for checking the ceiling height?
The customer is responsible for confirming that the venue provides enough clearance for the chosen bouncy castle. Measure to the lowest obstruction, including beams, lights, heaters, ceiling fans and hanging decorations.
Do not rely solely on the venue’s advertised room height. Ask the venue to confirm the measurements if you cannot inspect the room yourself.
If we arrive and cannot install the bouncy castle because the ceiling height or floor space was not checked correctly, the full hire charge will still be payable. Call 07944 487 578 before booking if you are unsure.
Electricity, Generators and Petrol Blowers
What electricity supply do I need?
Most bouncy castle blowers connect to a standard electric socket in a house, garage or venue. We provide an appropriate extension cable where required, but the total cable route cannot exceed 50 metres.
Tell us before delivery if:
- The nearest socket is more than 50 metres away
- The event is taking place in a field
- The venue cannot provide electricity
- You are hiring several inflatables
- Any part of the proposed cable route crosses a public or busy area
Guests must not unplug the blower or interfere with cables, plugs or electrical equipment during the hire.
Do I need a generator or petrol blower?
You may need an alternative power arrangement when no suitable socket is available within 50 metres.
A petrol blower may be appropriate for one compatible bouncy castle. It directly supplies the airflow needed to keep the inflatable operating, but it cannot be used with every product.
The 6kva diesel generator may be more suitable when several compatible electric blowers require power. The correct option depends on the complete booking rather than the event location alone.
Both options are available within generators, blowers and party extras at an additional cost. Contact us with the selected products and venue information if you need advice.
Once a petrol blower or generator has been installed, do not touch, reposition or switch it off without permission from our team. This equipment is heavy and forms part of the approved setup.
Surfaces and Outdoor Conditions
Which surfaces can you use?
A bouncy castle requires a flat, smooth and unobstructed surface. Suitable grass is generally the preferred outdoor option because the inflatable can be secured with stakes.
Sharp stones, rough ground, steep slopes and surfaces containing objects that could damage the material are unsuitable. Clear away toys, furniture, rubbish, branches and animal mess before delivery.
Indoor installations may use sandbags or another approved anchoring method. Always tell us the exact surface during booking, especially if it is artificial grass, paving or another hard surface. We will confirm whether the proposed setup is possible.
What happens if it rains?
If heavy rain is forecast for the morning of the booking, we may contact you to discuss whether delivery can proceed safely. If we cancel because the weather makes installation or use unsafe, there will be no cancellation charge.
If light rain begins after setup:
- Ask all children to leave the bouncy castle
- Follow the electrical protection instructions given during delivery
- Do not handle electrical equipment with wet hands
- Leave the bouncy castle inflated when our instructions and conditions permit
- Wait for the rain to stop before drying the surfaces
Keeping the bouncy castle inflated during a suitable light shower can help water drain away and prevent the material from becoming waterlogged. Once the rain stops, allow approximately 10 to 15 minutes for drying and remove any remaining surface water with an old towel.
Pay particular attention to the entrance step, bouncing bed and safety mats. Children must not return until the surfaces are suitably dry because wet inflatable material can be slippery.
What should I do during strong winds or severe weather?
Stop use immediately if conditions become unsafe. Remove all children and follow the weather and shutdown instructions provided by our team during delivery.
Do not attempt to move the bouncy castle, adjust its anchoring equipment or make changes to the installation yourself. Call us if you need guidance.
Supervision and Safe Use
Does the hire include an attendant?
No. Standard hire includes delivery, installation and collection, but we do not remain at the event to supervise the bouncy castle.
A responsible adult must supervise the inflatable continuously. The supervisor should manage the number of children entering, separate users of substantially different sizes and ensure everyone follows the instructions provided during handover.
Can adults use the bouncy castles?
Adults must not use inflatables designed for children. This includes entering to play, retrieve a child or take photographs.
We have adult bouncy castles with the appropriate construction, higher walls and reinforced seams. Check the individual product information rather than assuming an inflatable is suitable for adults.
What rules apply to all bouncy castles?
- A responsible adult must supervise the equipment continuously
- Shoes must be removed before entry
- Food, drinks and chewing gum must remain outside
- Party poppers, silly string and sharp objects are not permitted
- Nobody may climb, hang or sit on the walls
- The entrance and safety mats must remain clear
- Children of substantially different sizes should use the bouncy castle separately
- Users must not interfere with the blower, cables or anchoring equipment
- Animals are not permitted on the inflatable
- The equipment must not be moved after installation
The customer may be liable for damage caused by misuse or failure to follow the instructions supplied with the hire. Please read our terms of hire before the event.
Payment, Cancellation and Collection
How do I pay?
Payment should be made in cash to the driver when the equipment is delivered. Please have the correct amount available before setup begins.
Can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel without a fee by providing at least 24 hours’ notice. Call 07944 487 578 as soon as possible if your plans change.
We may also cancel a booking when heavy rain, strong winds or other conditions prevent safe installation or use. There is no charge when we cancel for weather-related safety reasons.
What must I do before collection?
Remove all toys, clothing, decorations and personal belongings from the inflatable. Food and drinks should never enter the equipment, but please check for any remaining items before the driver arrives.
Ball-pool bookings require additional preparation. Every ball must be collected and returned to the ball pool before collection. Allow time for this at the end of the party.
Leave the equipment installed and inflated unless our team has told you otherwise. The driver will complete the deflation and removal.
Events and Equipment Choices
Which events can you provide equipment for?
Our equipment can be hired for children’s birthdays, adult parties, weddings, christenings, school events, corporate family days, charity fundraisers, university events, sports-club celebrations and local galas.
Options include children’s bouncy castles, assault courses, inflatable slides, ball-pool bouncy castles and party extras. Indoor and outdoor choices are available, subject to the venue, surface, space and weather conditions.
