Children enter at the rear, climb to the top and enjoy a fast, exciting trip down the front. Up the Back and Down the Front

The Palm Tree Slide delivers a different style of play from an ordinary bouncy castle. Rather than remaining in one enclosed bouncing area, children follow a continuous route:

Enter at the back of the inflatable.
Climb carefully to the top platform.
Wait until the front of the slide is clear.
Slide down onto the landing section.
Step promptly onto the safety mats and move away.

This makes it easy to organise turns while giving each child a clear goal. At a well-supervised party, the climb and descent can continue in a steady flow without children gathering at the bottom.

Although only 9ft wide, the slide needs a clear area measuring at least 24ft x 12ft. The additional room allows for anchoring, the electric blower, entrance access and safety mats at the front. Please measure between permanent obstructions and make sure the full route around the slide remains usable.

Its relatively narrow shape can work well in longer gardens where a wide inflatable would be difficult to accommodate. However, the site must still provide sufficient height, suitable ground and clear access for our delivery team.

An experienced M&C team member will deliver, inflate and secure the slide before performing a safety inspection. We will explain its correct operation to the responsible adult and return after the agreed hire period to collect it.

Supervising the Landing Area

An attendant is not included with the Palm Tree Slide, so the customer must provide a responsible adult to supervise it continuously. Particular attention should be given to the front landing area.

Children must move off the safety mats immediately after sliding so the route is clear for the next user. Nobody should stand, sit or play at the bottom while another child is descending. Users must not climb or sit on the inflatable side walls.

The supervisor should also prevent overcrowding on the climbing section and make sure children take turns sensibly. Shoes, food, drinks, party poppers and sharp objects must remain away from the equipment.

Supplying Power to the Palm Tree Slide

The blower runs from a standard household or garage plug socket. Where the socket is less than 50 metres from the setup position, we will supply an appropriate extension cable free of charge.

For school fields, large gardens and other sites without convenient mains electricity, add Petrol Blowers or the Diesel Generator – 6kva to the booking. Please arrange alternative power before the event so the correct equipment can be delivered with the slide.

Using an Inflatable Slide in Rain

The Palm Tree Slide may remain usable during a brief light shower, but moisture can make the sliding surface faster than usual. The supervising adult must monitor conditions and stop play if children can no longer descend safely.

Heavier rain or strong wind can make continued use unsuitable. Follow the instructions provided during setup and protect plugs and electrical connections using appropriate waterproof covers. Further weather information is available in our FAQs and Terms of Hire.

Check Indoor Height Before Booking

An indoor venue requires considerably more than 15ft of unobstructed height. Measure to the lowest ceiling point and account for beams, lights, decorations and suspended fittings. The 24ft x 12ft operating area must also remain completely clear.
